REQUIREMENTS FOR A MAJOR OR MINOR IN HISTORY

B.A. HISTORY [40 credits]
Intro/Intermediate Courses*
4 credits 1000/2000 level in major field
4 credits 1000/2000 level in minor field
*at least 4 credits must be at the 2000-level

Research/Experiential Courses
4 credits 2901 course
4 credits 3900-level course

Advanced Courses
5 courses, at least 1 from each of 3 areas (20 credits total)
HST4001: Senior Seminar

MAJOR FIELDS:
Field A: Europe
Field B: United States/Canada
Field C: Africa/East Asia/Latin America/Middle East

CONCENTRATION:
Students may elect to do a concentration in one of the following areas of their major: East Asia, Latin America, or Middle East by taking at least 4 credits of introductory or intermediate courses and at least 8 credits of advanced courses in that area.

Minor [20 credits]:
One experiential/research course from: HST2901/3901/3902/3903/3904/3908/3909
