History
Professor Wins National Teaching Award
(December 2004). Dr.
Schneid, Professor of History, been named the recipient of the
prestigious Exemplary Teaching Award for Excellence in Teaching at a
United Methodist Affiliated Institution. The award was bestowed by the
General Board of Higher Education and Ministry of the
United
Methodist
Church
. In 2003-2004, the University Honors Society awarded Dr. Schneid the
Alpha Chi Award for promoting excellence and scholarship in the
classroom. In 2002, he received the Outstanding Faculty Member Award
from
High Point
’s Evening Degree Program, which is granted annually by evening
students for teaching excellence.
