Leading
Historian of War Guest Lectures for History Classes (February
2005). Dr. Michael F. Pavkovic gave
a public talk on “The Grand Strategy of the Roman Empire,” on
February 22. He also lectured two history classes on “The Changing
Nature of Warfare, 1914-Present,” and “The War in
Iraq
: A strategic and operational analysis.” Dr. Pavkovic
is Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences and Professor of History at
Hawaii
Pacific
University
. He is renowned for his expertise in world military history, having
recently collaborated on a multi-volume series, War
in World History, which was published by McGraw Hill. Dr. Pavkovic’s
visit was sponsored by the History Department,
and the University Honors Program.
