Renowned European Historian Lectures
(November 2004). On Nov. 16,
Professor Jeremy Black, a leading expert on European political,
diplomatic, and military affairs, offered a public lecture entitled
"The American Revolution from the European Perspective."
Black, a professor at the
University
of
Exeter
in England, is widely published in the area of European history. He is the
author and editor of more than 60 books, including War for
America
: The Fight for
Independence, 1775-1783, Why Wars Happen, War: An Illustrated World
History, and Eighteenth Century Europe. In addition to his
public talk, Black lectured and took student questions in three
history classes on subjects ranging from the Enlightenment to British
foreign policy in the 18th century.
