Carolyn F. Hall, Mezzo Soprano, Bachelor of Music; Wesleyan College, Master of Music in Choral Music Education; University of South Carolina and Master of Music in Choral Conducting; University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She has held the position of Conductor/Music Director for the Gaston String Orchestra and was Assistant Director for Oratorio Singers of Charlotte and Augusta Choral Society. Ms. Hall was named a North Carolina Regional Artist in 1998, Fellow at the 2001 Conductor’s Institute of South Carolina and a 2001 NATS Mid-Atlantic Region Finalist. Ms. Hall has performed as vocal soloist with the Charlotte Symphony, Charlotte Repertory Orchestra, Conductor’s Institute of South Carolina Orchestra and Opera Program, Oratorio Singers of Charlotte, Oratorio Chamber Singers, Piedmont Chamber Singers, Columbia Choral Society and the Augusta Choral Society. She performed the role of Mrs. Ott in UNCG production of Floyd’s “Susannah”. Active in opera choruses, she has sung with Opera Carolina Chorus and Augusta Opera Chorus and performed the role of Kate Pinkerton in Columbia Lyric Opera’s “Madame Butterfly”. She is an experienced choral music educator and is active in music ministry. Ms. Hall resides in High Point, NC with her husband Steve and three boys.
