2-D Motion

Reading the Break

Shown in the animation is the top view of a golf ball rolling across a hill on a green. The incline of the hill is directly toward the bottom of the page. It is not inclined whatsoever from left to right in the animation. See if you can putt the ball into the hole. (Fortunately, on a real green the grass causes the ball to slow down. This is desirable since a faster moving ball will skip over the hole. However, in this case we are neglecting effects of the grass, wind, etc., on the motion of the ball. We are only considering the effect of the incline.)
